That’s me grinning like an idiot on day 2 of the Helmsman’s course. I really enjoyed the course; Andrew is a very good teacher, using a variety of styles to get the messages across. I learned a lot, and it gave me the skills and information I needed to undertake a winter cruise over the Christmas period when our hire boat was pretty much the only one moving, and there was no likelihood of assistance from CRT staff who were all stood down for the festive season. The fact that I have a disability was no problem for Andrew, and the skills I learned on the Helmsman’s course meant I could have a safe, efficient and fun time on the cut.
